Join Volatia Language Network, Inc., as we present the Volatia Community Engagement Award to an innovative community partner. The Conference also features topical breakout sessions to address community building through family engagement, and effective partnering with interpreters in clinical settings, schools, and in new environments in need of cultural awareness to accommodate and promote language access for Limited English Proficiency individuals.
This event is the result of a partnership between Virginia Refugee Healing Partnership and The Roanoke Refugee Mental Health Council (RRMHC) which oversees the Refugee Wellness Initiative in the Roanoke, VA Area. The Refugee Healing Partnership is a collaborative effort of the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services, the Virginia Department of Health, multiple community agencies, and refugee communities across the Commonwealth.
